R-W-C Policy

Retraction, Withdrawal, & Correction Policy (RWC)

The Sinergi International Journal of Education has established a comprehensive RWC policy to maintain the integrity of the scientific record:

  1. Article Retraction: We may retract articles due to significant scientific errors, duplicate publication, or ethical violations. The retraction process involves thorough evaluation by editors and the Ethics Advisory Board, following COPE guidelines.
  2. Article Withdrawal: To discourage arbitrary withdrawals, we implement a fee structure:
    • Withdrawal during peer review: $10 USD / 100,000 IDR
    • Withdrawal after acceptance: $15 USD / 200,000 IDR
    • Withdrawal of published "Article in Press": $20 USD / 300,000 IDR Non-payment results in a one-year blacklisting of the author and their institution.
  3. Article Correction: We publish corrections for honest errors in data, author lists, or for necessary clarifications. Corrections are categorized as publisher's corrections (erratum), author's corrections (corrigendum), or addendums.
  4. Article Removal: In rare cases where legal or health concerns necessitate removal, we retain metadata but replace the text with a removal notice.
  5. Article Replacement: For articles posing serious health risks, we may allow replacement with a corrected version, linking the retraction notice to the revised article.
